Alterations and Additions to an Art Deco 1940s House

2020

A contemporary addition to an Art deco 1940s house in Swanbourne. The scope included a new living/dining/kitchen and al fresco area as well as a reconfiguration of the existing house.

The house was designed around the concept of bringing in north light and establishing a strong visual connection to the new garden from the living space. The design sought to integrate elements of the brickwork features of the original house into a contemporary interpretation in the new living area.
